09:47 pm - Website Update
Because [info]abby_normal is far too good to me, my website is now updated with:

the final part of Never Better , Merry's coming-of-age fic;
Starspray - wherein Frodo encounters a lawn sprinkler and knows exactly what to do with it;
Liebestanz - in which Frodo and Sam dance their way into each others' hearts;
Bag End Yule - a ficlet in which Frodo's good judgment prevails;
and both stories from the new series 221B Bag End, in which I indulge my infatuation for both Tolkien and A. Conan Doyle. Elementary, my dear Gamgee.

And might I add that most of these feature her own glorious art? Hie thee hither, my pretties, it is lovely indeed.

psst. and let her know!

ETA: And of course it would be helpful to provide a link!

05:01 pm - New Fic: The Tuckborough Affair
And this time, here first!

*resolves to be much better about crossposting*

Here's another cross-universe AU because I had Too Much Fun writing the first one. And just because I'll probably inflict another on y'all someday, I'm putting them in a series, 221B Bag End.

So with liberal amounts of both Tolkien and Holmes, shameless borrowing of the plot of Silver Blaze, not to mention another story *wink*, and, yes, two flat-out quotes (one is obvious, the other maybe not so), here is:

Title: The Tuckborough Affair
Author: Elderberry Wine
Pairing: Frodo Holmes/Sam Watson (many thanks to Annwyn for that!)
Rating: Mature
Word count: 12,065
Summary: Mysterious doings at the Great Smials prompt Baggins and Gamgee to make a visit, just as they are coming to terms with changes at Bag End. A sequel to A Case of Unexpected Consequences and part of the 221B Bag End AU series.

What!!? Too long? Ok - to be continued in post 2...

*hmph*
Current Mood: chipper
Current Music: A peaceful house - yay for break!

09:31 pm - And a final one...
Well, this ought to more or less bring me up to date. It's still technically over at Waymeet, but here it 'tis.

We were all assigned mathoms that were being tossed out of Bag End during a frenzied spring cleaning. I was fortunate enough to be assigned a lawn sprinkler, and being the single-minded sort that I am, realized, "Hmm. Water. Hobbits. What's not to love?"

Go take a look-see. Plenty of great fics there!

For the "Good Housekeeping" challenge -

Title: Starspray
Author: Elderberry Wine
Pairing: F/S
Rating: Mature
Word Count: 7820
Summary: A gift from the North leads inevitably to wet hobbits. But there is the gaffer to be accounted for. Mostly fluff, and did I mention mushy? Part of the Shire Morns series, year 2.

03:09 pm - Dear me. Time to air out the old smial once again.
Alas, it appears that our new overlords over at LJ went to the same management school as did the previous ownership. This does not bode well. And what bodes even less well is trying to slip through substantial changes to service under the radar.

So I guess I'd best get to work in storing what I have over there here as well. Meh.

10:00 pm - Aaaaand the last one for tonight.
This was for the recent Waymeet crackfic challenge.

I took the opportunity to merge my two favorite fandoms, including a direct quote - and no, it's not from LOTR. ;) Oddly enough, they seem to fit together rather well. Who knew. There might even be a sequel.

Title: A Case of Unexpected Consequences
Author: Elderberry Wine
Pairing: F/S
Rating: Mature
Word Count: 11,407
Summary: Cross-fandom first time. Lobelia's missing teaspoons lead to first one thing, and then entirely another. Obviously not part of the Shire Morns series. :D

09:17 pm - Latest fics
Hi there, good folks at IJ! I figured I'd better start posting fics here, as well as at LJ, so here are the most recent. Since I'm not sure what kind of a word limit IJ has, I'll post this four part fic seperately, and backdate them. Hope that makes sense.

OK, the first part of this fic was for a Waymeet challenge, The Ties That Bind.

Title: Never Better, Part One
Author: Elderberry Wine
Pairings: F/S, M/P, and several others
Rating: Mature
Word count: 6873

So let's join the Brandybucks, Tooks, Baggins', Gamgees, Grubbs', Bolgers, Boffins, and Burrows, not to mention a certain Bracegirdle, in celebrating the occasion. Part of Shire Morns.
